I've taken a break from blogging for the past few weeks. Lots going on - the pond hockey tournament, the Dorset Winter Carnival, the Dwight Winter Carnival, skating on the lake, snowboarding at Hidden Valley, cross-country skiing at Arrowhead Provincial Park, snowshoeing at Algonquin Provincial Park, etc., etc.

The weather has been spectacular! It's quite mild today and lots of sun. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend. Lots of snowmobiling still going on.

I've noticed that a few birds are starting to show up and take care of that birdseed that's been ignored now for a few weeks. The deer are creating highway trails on our property there are so many of them. Wild turkeys are also being spotted locally.

We're getting very excited about the 2nd Annual Friends of the Dwight Library Outdoor 3D Archery Tournament that is taking place at our cottage resort on Sunday, May 2nd (10:00am shotgun start - rain or shine). Give us a call for more information. This was a huge success last year for raising much needed money for our local library. Lunch is included. Every age is able to participate - just bring your own equipment. If you email us, we can send you an entry form.
