Can you believe that we're in the second month of 2010? So much happening! It was SO cold this past weekend that we actually had one of our hot water tanks freeze - a VERY bad thing to happen at -40C!!! With the help of some friends, we were able to fix everything before the pipes burst and caused massive damage beneath the ground/cottages...

The phones are ringing like crazy right now - I guess people are putting their requests in for vacation for the year. We're about 50% booked for the high summer season - don't delay!

The G8 Summit plans are in high gear, with only a few months remaining. If you plan to come visiting Muskoka anytime at the end of June, PLEASE make sure that you have a reservation! Security checkpoints will be scattered throughout our area and you will be stopped and asked your destination and purpose of being here during the G8 Summit period. Expects delays - but once through the check-points, it will be clear sailing out in the Dwight/Lake of Bays area. Consider taking Highway 35 to Highway 60 - we're only 1 minute down the road from that intersection. There will be a security checkpoint at this intersection, but it will be a very quick one compared to going through Huntsville...

Snow update - we have it, come enjoy it! It snowed about 10 inches in the past week. It is currently snowing quite heavily and we're expecting another inch (2.5 cms) today. Here are a couple of pictures taken this past weekend.
