The first week of school is over! It's funny how children are able to get up and out for the first day of school without any problem...then, as the third or fourth day roles around, they just can't seem to get out of bed...
The weather this week has been outstanding! Hot days, cool nights. Lots of people are still swimming. A few more trees are starting to take on some fall colours...eek!
We are sold out this weekend! This is the Iron Man triathlon weekend here in Muskoka. Lots of very fit people are running, swimming, and biking around. The bike portion of the triathlon passes right by our cottage resort - a great opportunity to see these incredible athletes close up!

We are fully booked this weekend - and the calls keep coming! A perfect weather weekend, warm water for swimming, and lots of local events taking place!
My school countdown is nearing an end! Only 3 more sleeps! It IS the most wonderful time of the year! :-)
This week, we are welcoming many guests from Europe!
As we drove into Huntsville, I noticed that some of the maple trees are starting to turn colour already - yikes! They must be confused - they're not supposed to start for another 2-3 weeks! Renegades!
Next weekend we are sold out once again for the Muskoka Iron Man Triathlon - we are again hosting both athletes and support crews. It's so exciting to watch these incredible folks during the bike race portion as they fly by our property. Good luck to everyone next week!!

The last week of summer holidays! It's a pretty quiet week now, most of the families are at home getting ready for back to school. Cool nights and hot days - perfect! Every morning, the mist has been heavy on the lake, gently rising off by 9:00am. This is the time when photographers take the most amazing pictures of our bay.
The weather this week has been spectacular - it's what we've been waiting for! Why does it happen in the last week? We started our archery and campfires earlier this week as the day light is getting shorter - it's dark now by 8:15pm.
With the end of our summer bookings, we are looking forward to another resort changeover on Saturday and then a welcome to all of our Labour Day weekend guests.
