This morning we woke up to -39C!!! Now that's cold! Our children were not allowed to go out for recess at school today - it seems that a policy has been put in place in our school board that states that as soon as the temperature reaches -25C or below, the kids stay inside. I guess frozen faces, toes, and fingers do not make for good learning!
Two ice fishing huts are now up and running in Dwight Bay. There are still a few lakes in Huntsville that have open water. I suppose that the ice will finally close in after this cold spell.
The forecast is for another 2 days of this chilly weather, then...you guessed it...more snow!!!!!
