It's been forever since I've added a blog!! Sorry about that!

We've been going like crazy with cottages checking-in and checking-out over the past several weeks. This May and June have been our busiest since we took over the resort in 2002! Guests have been from Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, South Africa, United Kingdom, and Canada! Everyone loves Lake of Bays!

We've opened up the last few cottages that have not been rented for the full week of June 28 - July 5 for multiple night rentals - they are booking up fast! At this point, there are only 5 cottage rentals still available for the remainder of the summer - check out our Availability page and call us!

Our gardens are in full bloom, with the largest peonies I've ever had here. Some additional perennial plantings have been completed around the cottage gardens and our trees have all added at least 6 inches to their growth.

We've also just purchased 2 new sit-on-top single kayaks! These will be fabulous for our canoe/kayak outings that we have on our Family Activities Calendar of Events for this summer. Also, we now have all of our equipment for Archery Night - a new activity here at the resort - I'm sure it will be popular! We're very excited about the family-focused activities that are planned and look forward to hearing feedback from our guests.

We've also just finished building a new game for everyone to play: Hillbilly Horseshoes! I'm not going explain it to you - you'll have to come and see for yourself! :-)

Nature sightings over the past few weeks: Moose (too many to count), mother bear and cub, deer (too many to count), fox, birds, birds, birds...
