We're just wrapping up a great 3-day Holiday weekend here in Muskoka! The weather was warm, but a bit on the rainy side from time to time. Some of our guests went swimming (!), canoeing, and kayaking. The Fall Colours are spectacular right now and there are still more trees beginning to turn colours. It should last another week at least.
We have slowly started to get things ready for the upcoming winter months - we usually get our first snowfall during the first or second week of November. But, who knows what will happen this year with the weather temperature being so much warmer than usual. In another week or so, we will be storing away our canoes and kayaks, followed shortly thereafter by the children's playground "stuff" that cannot stay outside in the winter. It's always sad when the playground equipment has been emptied out...
We've seen quite a few birds starting their migration south for the winter - to be followed closely by the domestic snowbirds - you know the ones, silver crowns with flowery legs! :-)
