Where has this month gone?

Well, I realized this morning that I have not done a blog entry for several weeks! How did that happen??

Between getting children back to school, after-school activities, finishing up a course (and starting another one - what was I thinking?), and Fall clean-up of the cottages, the time has flown!

Oh yes, this has also been the busiest September that we have had since we took over the cottage resort in 2002! At this point, the past 3 weeks is just a blur of people, names, cottage cleaning, and taking more reservations. We are so thankful for the wonderful guests that we have had this season!

The next few weeks sees every weekend already sold out. The Huntsville Fall Fair is happening this weekend (September 21 & 22) - always a big treat for our children! My favourite parts? - the horse pull competition, the community entries for ribbons, and the ferris wheel! Oh, I forgot to mention cotton candy - guilt free, by the way, since it IS the Fall Fair!! If you've never been to a small-town Fall Fair, you MUST go!! It takes you back to a simpler time when people were truly part of a community.
