We know your family time is precious while you are on vacation! We have designed a Summer program of activities to enable you and your family to spend quality time discovering what Muskoka is all about! All of these events are FREE to our guests! During your week with us in July or August, the following activities are planned (weather permitting, of course):

We supply propane BBQ's, picnic tables and lawn chairs. The children's play area is located in a large open space, making it easy to monitor from every cottage and situated far enough from the beach for safety.
Swimming and Sunbathing - 340 feet of gently sloping sand beach on Muskoka's Lake of Bays. Our property is located directly across from Dwight Beach, a very quiet public beach. The lake water is temperate and clear.
Boating and Sailing - With over 160 miles of
shoreline, Lake of Bays is one of Ontario's finest waterways for boating
and sailing. COMPLIMENTARY Canoes
and Kayaks are available for our guests' use as well as all the safety
equipment required.
Motor boats and other motorized watercraft are available for rent nearby.
A boat ramp is available for those with their own boat. Boat docking is available at Haystack Bay Marine,
a quick 5 minute drive away – docking arrangements are to be made in advance directly with Haystack!

Fishing - Anglers can troll for lake trout or wet a line for
bass in one of the many bays on the lake. Fishing rod rentals are available
on site and we let you know what fish are in season and where the "hotspots"
are in the bay. Remember fishing licenses are required!

Biking - Bike locally or on the excellent trails in Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and Haliburton Highlands Trails and Tours Network. Several bikes (both adult and child sizes) are available on site for use in the Dwight area - free of charge. Mountain bike rentals are available at Algonquin Outfitters for use in Algonquin Provincial Park and other outlying areas.

The Muskoka Festival of the Arts takes place during July each year and the annual Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour is held in September. Also lacrosse, bowling and a movie theatre are available in Huntsville. Superb guided nature programs, observatory and horseback riding trails are nearby. From Toronto - take Highways 400 and 11 to Highway 60 just North of Huntsville. Turn east on Highway 60 to Ottawa for 20 km (12 miles) to Dwight and Logging Chain Lodge.
From Montreal - and the Ottawa District follow Highway 17 to Renfrew, then Highway 60 through Algonquin Park to Dwight.
